Fiction is more than just reading a book. It’s a time to unwind and relax and a time to escape. But fiction can also help you to grow as a person and see the world through someone else’s eyes.
And that is how I would describe my fiction – pure escapism. I have no desire to foster a political agenda on anyone, nor to flex my lexicological wings and offer a challenging read. I want my fiction to be something a reader can just sit back, relax and enjoy the story.
I am very much a writer of fantasy and all my books, whether they are set in a desolate wilderness or the bustling reeking streets of 1600’s London, have a fantasy twist. I find life and what it means to be alive particularly fascinating, even if that can only be expressed through death and the struggle for survival. I think life is one of those things we all have (hopefully!) but often fail to understand and the best way I can explore my own feelings on the subject is through the lives of fictional characters.
